We have operated in various sectors of the real estate industry for more than 20 years. Alongside purchasing and sales, our core competencies primarily include renovations and the development of existing buildings, which are integrated into our extensive portfolio.

Here, we pursue both asset and share deal concepts in our investment strategy. Alongside shares in start-ups, new construction in particular has also developed into an additional field of business.  

We have a clear objective in all of our projects: the sustainable optimization and long-term preservation of properties. As an experienced investor, the ongoing expansion of our portfolio is important to us. We are therefore always on the lookout for new investment opportunities.

We want to reduce our ecological footprint and therefore seek digital solutions that are as environmentally friendly as possible, as well as a reduction in CO2 emissions.

HISTORY: FROM THE FIRST RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TO A SUCCESS STORY

Founding Year

At the heart of the German capital, Areal Group begins its success story. It starts with a handful of condominiums – the first apartment building, completely renovated, revitalized and optimized for leasing, follows in 2000.
1995

First purchase of apartment buildings

Areal Group begins purchasing apartment buildings. After the first property in Berlin, a further five buildings follow in the same year and another 11 in 2007. The stock therefore expands to a total of 17 apartment buildings within two years.
2006

From intermediary to investor

The relocation to larger premises on Potsdamer Platz is accompanied by the expansion of business fields from purely intermediary activities to purchasing and investor ones.
2007

The first properties outside of Berlin

Areal Group building projects are purchased at locations with a personal association or quick accessibility. In 2014 in Leipzig, we effect the first purchase outside of Berlin, as well as our largest portfolio purchase, with a total of 30 properties.
2014

Stock expansion to Magdeburg and Dresden

This year stands out for us with the purchase of the first 11 properties in Magdeburg and five in Dresden. We also move to our spacious and modern new offices.
2016

Into the rest of Europe

We enjoy considerable expansion and make our first purchase in another European country. We thereby move closer to our objective of continuously enlarging our activity radius and expanding further.
2017

Our biggest deal to date

We make our biggest deal to date with the sale of an extensive portfolio. We are thereby able to increase our transaction volumes, support refinancing, ensure financing with our own capital and preserve our financial independence as far as possible for our core business as a holder of stock.
2018

Current corporate growth

Currently, almost 30 employees ensure the growth of our stock and the internationalization of our investment. A diverse team of both experts and newcomers from other fields takes care of any tasks that arise. We are accompanied and supported by our partners of many years, including credit institutions, construction firms, realtors and notaries.
